Short Story

The Merriam-Webster online dictionary defines "Short Story" as an invented prose narrative shorter than a novel usually dealing with few characters and aiming at unity of effect and often concentrating on the creation of mood rather than plot. These tales do not belong in any specific serials that are part of an overarching narrative, instead are "one shots" of sort in a similar vein to the stories found in Flashfiction, however these should take more than 5 minutes to read, hopefully, before one puts them down deciding they're a waste of time...
